befit a rare bourbon bar

When owners of The Bishop sought me out to bring their vision for a Barroom + Restaurant with a den library feel to fruition, it was second nature. Niches of warmth and comfort invite guests to another time of quality and hospitality and frame the offerings; choice grass fed beef cuts & rare bourbons fittingly.  Warm furnishings  are in step with bourbon centric-bar, such as brass shelving, pheasant upholstery,  and vintage naval sconces I selected by hand in Hudson, NY. A collection of varied seating was outfitted in the urban restaurant space; banquettes, hi-tops and a built-in library booth seating are complimented with vintage pillows, plaids, warm wood tones and black lacqueur woodwork. Walls were removed to fully reveal exposed brick, and original hardwood floors were restored and refinished.  New banquettes were designed to preserve storefront windows whilst maximizing comfort.  For Flanigan,  "It's all about the guest and wrapping them with our vision: warmth, authenticity and hospitality."    or,
